YuziKatrina 's Thoughts:

I spent my last weekend at Ojai for a mini getaway. Ojai is a small city in Ventura County, northwest of Los Angeles. The trip was very relaxing with hippie vibes and organic eats. Honestly, Ojai is a small city and I came here to relax and refresh.
I stayed at Ojai Rancho Inn which is a very hipster hotel. Very clean and unique interior design. ( I totally forgot to take a picture of the room, only have one picture from the bar… ) Another cool thing about this hotel is that they include complimentary bikes that has no time limit ! There is also a bike trail just outside the hotel, which takes you around the whole town.
My favorite food from this town is this little burger place called Hiho! There are like a local IN N OUT, fries taste freshly made, and the burger is full of favor. The other two restaurants I went are Bonnie Lu’s and Osteria Monte Grappa They both have good reviews on yelp, but I think they are ok, nothing too special about it. Taste average, big portions.
Oh, I forgot to mention there was also an amazing little Mexican food place have the best quesadillas and burritos! The place is super small that after you order you have to stand on the side to eat, and I was sweating so much that day but for that quesadilla it is totally worth it !
I also visited Bart’s which is an outdoor bookstore, they have wide variety of rare and captivating books. I spent the afternoon here just walking between the bookshelves reading and picking out books. I love the distinctive smell of floral and vanilla scent from the old books in Bart’s.
I decided to take a walk at night and ended up at a local food market. Ojai is very famous for their fresh goods and local olive oil. There are a lot fresh fruit and organic fruit drinks in the market.
After a long day of walking, biking and eating, I get to go back to my hotel room and jump into the personal Jacuzzi tub. It felt very refreshing and relaxing.
