Style_Journey 's Thoughts:

My love for earth tones will never end up. After all these years, my wardrobe is very classy yet down to earth when it comes to colors and accessories.

I'm pretty sure this is not the first time when I'm posting this satin scarf but it's been a long while since I shared it with you. It is one of my favourite thrift finds and I supose it's not difficult to guess why. I mean, just look at all these details and colors! The heraldic print right in the center of the scarf is so beautiful.

Once again, most of these pieces are thrift finds such as the sweater, skirt and scarf.

I'm half way through reading "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George RR Martin so I guess the heraldic patterns are the right choise at the moment. Speaking of "A Song of Ice and Fire", it is truly one of the best novels I have ever read. I enjoyed reading "The Lord of the Rings" many years ago but this one is even better. For some reason it's the only novel that managed to remind me of "Shogun" by James Clavell which is another masterful piece of writing. I guess the focus on political games is the main common thing of these two novel series. However, I really enjoy most of the characters, they are both lively and likeable, the writing style is bold yet somewhat philosophical, while the dialogue is very cleaver and fun to read which is great as I especially enjoy reading the dialogues. Do I have to say that Tyrion is by far my favorite character of these novels?

I even tried to watch a few episodes of "Game of Thrones" but I dropped it soon enough as the novels are way better. I still think the movie is so successful just because the novel series is too damn good.

Are you experimenting with different silhouettes? This pencil skirt looks great on your slender figure! It makes this outfit instantly classy with a hint of retro. The scarf is also amazing and makes this whole outfit come together so well...
