I’m a 26 year old girl who works 8 hours everyday Monday to Friday. I remember back in college I would only sleep 3 hours and it would be fine, now I get tired easily if I don’t get at least 5 hours of sleep. My question is, what is the right amount of sleep I should have per day? How long do you sleep for?

Docs say most adults should get 7 – 8 hours of sleep a night.

8 hours is the recommended, but it can vary. Some people are fine on 6, I feel great after 9 hours. I asked my doctor and he said 9 was just fine. I would definitely shoot for 6, since 5 is your personal bare minimum.

I have to sleep 8 hours a day or I will be cranky at work the next day. I noticed that people who are older (in their 50s and 60s) sleep only 5-6 hours a day. However if you’re in your 20s, it’s recommended that you get 7-8 hours of sleep per day.

ive read that 8 hours min is very good for u. since i have no life at the moment, i usually get 9-10 hours :D
